Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has launched a two-year Innovation Stream Pilot program this week. This new pilot program will allow employers participating in the Global Hypergrowth Project (GHP) to hire highly skilled foreign workers on work permits without requiring a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). In addition, family members of these foreign workers are eligible to open work permits permitting them to work for any employer in Canada. The Innovation Stream is scheduled to continue for two years and will finish on 22nd March 2026 unless there are any modifications.
What Is The Global Hypergrowth Project?
The Global Hypergrowth Project (GHP) is a service powered by Innovation Canada to help Canadian companies scale up quickly. The GHP supports a select group of Canadian firms by helping them overcome challenges such as export barriers, regulatory hurdles, and more. Each company will be paired with a trustworthy advisor from a team of professionals with extensive public and private sector experience.
